In the framework of  supporting the container terminal during its work related to the strengthening and deepening of its warehouses, DPA granted Petro jet , executing these works, facilities including  a gate for the entry and exit of its trucks and equipment and facilitation of all procedures. The company has also been granted discounts for the use of port facilities through the extraction of cards in the system of the comprehensive category, which gives it many privileges. Rear Admiral / Ayman Saleh, Chairman of Damietta Port Authority, explained that the Authority, in the framework of its cooperation with Damietta Container and Cargo Handling Company, spares no effort in providing all facilities at all times, especially during the development process carried out by the terminal.

The Authority has given priority to vessels at berths (5-6) as alternative berths during the deepening process to ensure regularity of workflow. It has been confirmed that the crews of the navigational aids are ready to receive the container vessels at any time, in addition to the readiness of the Authority to receive its vessels in different geophysical conditions during the winter.

This comes in line with the Authority’s works to clean and deepen the navigational channel and the turning  basin to reach depths consistent with the development plan for the berths.
