In completion of Damietta Port’s plan to maintain the16 meter depths of the navigational channel and the turning basin and to ensure suitability for the safe arrival and departure of big draft ships, Rear Admiral Walid Awad, DPA Chairman, has received “Obour Port Said” the dredger introduced to start staged dredging the navigational passage to remove dredged materials and keep depth at required levels.

Awad also followed during his cruise the ongoing projects and loading / unloading operations at the port’s various berths.
