The next meeting of MED Ports Association’s  Committee of “Relations with International Institutions” will be held in Damietta Port, Egypt  Wednesday, March 20^th . Damietta Port Authority (DPA) is a founding member of The MEDPort Association which includes 20 of key European and Arab ports on the Mediterranean Sea.

The Association aims to defend the interests of the Mediterranean ports in international relations , to study issues related to port activities and the maritime transport and initiate new trade lines among member ports.

The meeting is expected to discuss the signing of MOUs with a number of international institutions, like The International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) and what is next for the med ports on the international level.

A number of domestic ports (Alexandria, port-said and Al-Arish) were invited to attend the meeting as observers in a step by DPA to foster relations with home ports.
