A teaching staff delegation of the Egypt Japan University of Science and Technology

(E-Just) in Egypt has visited Damietta Port to exchange views over potential academic cooperation. DPA is especially interested in introducing Japanese academic expertise in fields of maritime transport, logistic activities, as well as engineering and info technology.

DPA Chairman R.Admiral Waled Awad talked with E-JUST delegation over basic areas of cooperation such as IT, Logistics ,environment preservation and HR training.

The delegation was amazed to know about the strict adoption by DPA of environment standards inside port facilities particularly after DPA compliance with ISO 14001 for environment and obtention of certificate of conformity with ISO 45001 for vocational health and safety.
