Tarek Shaheen, DPA Chairman, received a delegation from the Japanese Toyota Tsusho Group in their visit to Damietta Port to discuss available investment opportunities and study the possibility to participate in some future projects expected to be held at the port.

Captain Shaheen initiated the meeting by welcoming the delegation.

He  explained the port’s interest in cooperating with the group because of its multi-faceted expertise .

For his part, the head of the delegation of Toyota Tsusho underlined the Group’s aspiration to cooperate with Damietta Port, for a number of reasons especially at a time the port  is in the process of launching a number of investment projects such as multi-purpose terminal and logistics area for gas and oil vessels services, the location of Damietta Port on the route of international shipping lines, add to this the due resumption of work at the gas liquefaction terminal at the port after the discovery of oil in the Mediterranean Sea and the conclusion of bilateral agreements with a number of European countries in this field.
