Damietta Port Authority participates in an international conference in Uzbekistan

Admiral Ayman Saleh Ibrahim, Chairman of Damietta Port Authority, participates in the International Conference (Central Asia in the International Transport Corridors – Strategic Perspective and Unrealized Opportunities) Is currently in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, on 20-21 September.

The conference will discuss the development of transport transport capabilities of the Central Asian republics and the establishment of a joint integrated transport hub as main contact between South and Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the Near East to serve. Harbors to develop logistic abilities in the region.

The importance of participating in the conference stems from the fact that it discusses the prospects of cooperation in the formation of a combined and integrated transport area through new transport and transit corridors that can attract more shipping, while all barriers to the transport of goods are removed and the establishment of a recognized international system for specialist training in the field of international transport and logistics.

General Saleh explained that the participation of the Port Authority of Damietta during this international conference was the highlight of its efforts to make the port in a logistics center providing all the facilities and facilities for transport services as resulting from the available investment opportunities and strong infrastructure for the various port facilities.

The participation of the Commission in this conference is a translation of the Ministry of Transport and Egyptian Guidelines following the recent visit by President Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi to the state of Uzbekistan, in which he emphasizes of cooperation in the interests of both sides.
